It’s been an over-15 year long journey for of Montreal, and that journey has shown no signs of ending. Frontman Kevin Barnes has gone through many incarnations of his band, but the most recent one produced its 13th full-length album, Aureate Gloom, which came out this year on Polyvinyl. An exploration into Talking Heads-type mixtures of punk and funk, the new should translate into an interesting live performance.
