Zach Vinson makes his way back through C-U after performing at Mike ‘N Molly’s a short while back. He’s hopped on this bill at Cream & Flutter with Daniel & the Lion and local singer-songwriter Megan Johns’ Moonwish outfit.

Detroit’s Jessica Hernandez and her band the Deltas head through mid-week at Canopy during their Spring Tour. Their currently touring in support of their recent Demons EP. They’re joined by two locals A Cool Hand and the 92s.

East Coast duo Paleface is on a bit of a tour, and Urbana falls right in the middle this week. They’re joined by local singer-songwriter Juston Rondon and Chicago singer-songwriter P.M. Buys, who put out a new EP earlier this year called Funeral Psalms.

This late show at the Canopy will be a double-headliner situation of sorts, but this will be the last show the Legend of Levi Morgan plays here in C-U, and they’re opening up for The Matt Poss Band.

EDITOR’S PICK: THE ILLIAC SPRING FESTIVAL
Downtown Urbana (free) — Saturday, May 10th at 12 p.m.

The inaugural ILLIAC Spring Festival is happening on Saturday, and a couple of touring bands are joined by a bunch of locals for this all-afternoon street style festival. The touring bands include Those Darlins and Their / They’re / There, and they’re joined by locals Sun Stereo, Barrowe, Swords, Emily Otnes & The Weekdays, Bones Jugs N Harmony, Jack Anthony & The Desperadoes, as well as local DJs Mertz, Belly and Kosmo. Lots of music happening — and with food trucks, booze, and Downtown Urbana, this should be a great time. Also — it’s free. Check out the full schedule here.

Decadents are a local rock outfit, and they have a couple of new tracks out (there’s the artwork) that are available May 6th. They’re joined by Chicago dance rock outfit Workout Music.

Some musical guests are going to help raise awareness and money for the Mali Water Project on Saturday evening. They’re looking to help provide access to clean water for the village of Konilo-Coura in Mali, Africa. ALl proceeds go to the Mali Water Project.
