EDITOR’S PICK: BLACK JOE LEWIS, PICKWICK
The Highdive ($14 advance/$16 door) — Tuesday, February 25th at 8:45 p.m.

Black Joe Lewis is coming back through C-U with this Tuesday night show at the Highdive. I had a chance to see him when they were in town a few years back (as him and his band were opening for Passion Pit at the Assembly Hall), and honestly, they easily upstaged PP. Their last album came out last year, called Electric Slave, and BJL won’t disappoint.

WHAT: One More Time, Moop, Heesh

WHEN: Thursday, February 27th at 9:30 p.m.

Typically, I stear away from posting cover bands in the Overture, but I’m making an exception for this one, as it is a Daft Punk tribute act, One More Time. I’ve seen some footage from shows in years past, but since the release of last year’s terrific Random Access Memories, you have to think they will mix some of that material into this live set.
