Every Monday at the Rose Bowl, come hang out with some great musicians. A sort of open mic meets song share, you can expect a variety of music and performers.

Joan Hickey Quintet

Pianist Joan Hickey leads her quintent in a tribute to one of my favorite pianists, Bill Evans, playing his 1963 release Interplay.
WEDNESDAY, April 20th
4/20 Party at Rose Bowl

A big ole lineup of musicians, including DJ CBD, Fully Baked (Kenna Mae, Paul Kotheimer, JP Goguen, Charlie Harris, Cody Jensen), and Blues Deacons. There will also be vendors set up. Lot’s going on, lots of ways to party.
THURSDAY, April 21st
Ashley Riley

Americana Happy Hour continues another week, this time with Ashley Riley, bringing an americana, indie, earthy tunes to the Rose Bowl.
Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Adam Neiman
►Krannert Center // $40 // 7:30 p.m.
The C-U Symphony Orchestra is joined by acclaimed pianist Adam Neiman, playing Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43.” The Easy Central Illinois Youth Orchestra will also be joining this evening.
Deeohgee
►Rose Bowl Tavern // $10 // 8:30 p.m.
Psychedelic, hippie, rock and roll with Deeohgee at Rose Bowl. They have a Christmas song called “Santa Claus Is Dead,” so that should give you an insight into their humorous, wild songs.
Lil Keed

Atlanta rapper Lil Keed is stopping by Canopy Club on Thursday. Known for his trippy, auto-tuned trap music, Lil Keed is quickly rising in popularity.

Caleb Cook Band

Country musician Caleb Cook brings his band to Huber’s for a kick-butt night of country.
Tim Kinsella & Jenny Pulse, Ricki Marvel, IVO

You may know Tim Kinsella from bands such as Cap’n Jazz or Joan of Arc. You may know Jenny Pulse from her solo work as well as Spa Moans. Did you know the two are married and making some great music together? Well they are, and opening up the night is Ricki Marvel, bringing lofi and art-pop, and Bloomington’s own IVO, playing indie, alternative, dream pop.

New Zealand-born, Australian-based DJ OPIUO is mix of bass, glitch, and funk to Canopy Club for a wild night of music.
Beth Bombara, Emily Anne Band

Missouri based singer-songwriter Beth Bombara joins Urbana’s Emily Anne and her band for a night of folk and country.
SATURDAY, April 23rd
Jive Bag
►Rose Bowl Tavern // free // 4 p.m.
A five-piece jazz band playing New-Orleans inspired funk and contemporary jazz, you can expect traditional tunes and originals.
Thomas Nicholas Band
►Nightshop // $15 adv, $20 door // 7 p.m.
You might recognize Thomas Nicholas from his role as Kevin Myers in the American Pie film franchise. Thursday, he brings his band for a night of rock and roll.
The Tripp Brothers
►NOLA’s Rock Bar // $7 // 7 p.m.
It’s going to get funky with Jimmy and Sean Tripp, two brothers on saxophone and trombone who combine their sound with some heavy bass to keep the party going.
John David Daily Band

A night of country music with the Nashvile-based John David Daily Band. Opening the show is Matt Miller.
Colonel James Presents, Nick Gusman & the Coyotes, Yard Eagle, Tim McGee

Tenor Titans

3 musicians will discuss their favorite jazz heroes and each play an individual set. Finally, all three musicians will combine forces for a great set of jazz tunes.
Union Avenue

Playing rockabilly music from the 1950s, Union Avenue’s energy is contagious.
Tenor Titans
►Rose Bowl Tavern // free // 5 p.m.
A night of jazz hosted by Chip McNeill, this is an afterglow performance from the Tenor Titans following their performance at Spurlock Museum.
Thomas Nicholas Band
►One-T’s Cornerpocket // $10 // 7 p.m.
In case you couldn’t make it to Bloomington on Saturday night, not a problem. Thomas Nicholas is stopping by Champaign tonight.
