Shooter Jennings Set to Rock Canopy Club Tonight

Country-rocker Shooter Jennings will appear with his band, the 357’s, tonight at the Canopy Club in Urbana. It’s a 9:00 p.m. show, and American Bang and local up-and-comers Number One Sons are slated to open. Tickets are $16 in advance.

Jennings played his father, outlaw-country legend Waylon Jennings, in the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line, and he succeeded in looking really burned out as Cash’s roommate in Nashville. Shooter is touring in support of his latest album, The Wolf. If you like his dad’s music, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or any type of southern rock, really, it should be a good time.
