If you were near downtown Champaign this weekend, you may have sensed a buzz in the air. You also maybe smelled the aroma of 26 food vendors setting up shop at the annual Taste of C-U. Cuisine ranging from smoked barbecue and street hot dogs to fried seafood and frozen yogurt highlighted the plethora of food options available in the C-U area. To wash all that grub down, a number of local breweries, including Triptych, were on-tap.
The festival took place Friday evening and throughout all of Saturday, featuring arts/crafts vendors, children’s activities, and live entertainment both evenings. An amateur barbecue competition and “Pie Run” were also held. We ventured out to see just a few of the delicious items people were eating in the video below.
