Weekender: September 15-17

FRIDAY, September 15th

Get some tres leches, Rick’s Bakery, 2018 Philo Road, Urbana, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. orSaturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., about $4 per slice

I’m certain I’ve written this exact same post at some point in the near past, so you’re not experiencing deja vu. But I recently had a slice of tres leches for the first time in a minute, and was reminded that it’s damn delicious. Rick’s cakes are super affordable, too, so I would not judge you if you were to, say, order an entire cake and invite two friends over to eat it. If gluttony isn’t your thing, it’s also available by the slice. Photo by Jessica Hammie (JH)
