Giorgio Moroder’s Metropolis at the Art Theater, Fri/Sat 10 p.m., $5.00
I first saw Metropolis at Ebertfest last year with live music from the Alloy Orchestra. It blew me away and it was a joy to write the review. This version has been edited and tweaked by Giorgio Moroder–in terms of run time, qualiity, time and color. It’s basically a feature-length hipstamatic print set to the music of the Freddy Mercury, Bonnie Tyler, Pat Benetar and Adam Ant to name a few. That sounds pretty awesome to me. (JS)
