I’ve attended concerts by Amasong before and I always walk away newly surprised and grateful that we have such an excellent, talented, professional choral group right here, local, and available to us.

This year’s Winter concert will include contemporary composition by Meredith Monk, and will feature Subhalakshmi Kumar, Bharatanatyam (South Indian Classical) dancer, Josh Houchin, bass, and others. (TN)

Occupy Champaign-Urbana ― Get Your Money Out Rally, March, & Speak-Out, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Everyone will gather at the West Side Park Pavilion and march to the beleaguered Chase Bank in downtown Champaign. This rally is a kick-off for Occupy CU’s Move Your Money Project. This event’s Facebook page (linked above) has tons of information about the movement, the project, etc. (TN)
