PRIDE AROUND THE REGION

WHERE: Peerless Training Facility
1304 N. 20th Street
Decatur
WHEN: Saturday, July 13, 6:30 p.m.
On the second Saturday of each month, GLAD has its social meeting and potluck dinner. The socials average between 25 and 30 people of all ages-both men and women.
“Christmas in July” is the theme of this month’s GLAD Social. The board tells us: If it’s a gay Christmas, it must be July.
And what is a Christmas celebration without a gift exchange? The board asks that you bring an inexpensive ($5 min. / $10 max) LGBT or rainbow-themed gift. The exchange will work like the white elephant one that is done in December where folks have the opportunity to “steal” someone else’s gift if they want to.
The social starts at 6:30 p.m., with potluck dinner at 7:00. GLAD will supply the tableware and drinks. Please bring a dish to share. A $5.00 suggested donation is appreciated.
