On this week’s Smile Politely Radio, we invited Les Stratton to tell us more about his campaign for mayor of Urbana. Mr. Stratton is running for the Democratic nomination against incumbent Laurel Prussing in the primary on February 26, and we had the chance to ask him about some of the issues that his campaign centers on, including downtown Urbana development, economic development and incentives for businesses, and immediate infrastructure and public works choices for Urbana.
He also offers a bit of detail on his opposition to some current Urbana projects and ways he believes the funds could better be utilized for the city’s benefit.
To learn more about Mr. Stratton’s campaign, you can visit the link above or find his campaign page on Facebook.
Later this month, we will also welcome Mayor Prussing to the show to discuss her ongoing goals for Urbana and her positions on economic development, infrastructure and public works, public safety, and other local issues.
