This week on Smile Politely Radio, we hop in the way-back machine and dial up some tracks from Chambana rockers The Rave. Garrett and Herb from the band join us in the studio to chat about the rock scene in Champaign from 1978–1981, explain what it was like to battle the scourge of disco music, and touch on why we had to wait so long for their September, 1979 concert album Live at the Red Lion to be released. (It’s now available through Parasol, by the way.) They also play some tunes for us.
