The Living Letter Press is a new print shop that’s mission is “to preserve the practice and knowledge of techniques of letterpress printing and offer the arts and design community a resource to incorporate the art and craft of letterpress into their work.” We discuss the history of the letter press, how it’s different from existing printing techniques, the shop’s plans for educational classes and much more. Plus, we talk about the really cool app (LetterMPress) that the people behind the shop created to provide letter press abilities on your iPad or Mac.
The Living Letter Press will celebrate its grand opening this Friday, October 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 105 W. John St. (the back of Dixon Graphics). For more information, go here.
