This year marked the 15th annual Parade of Lights. Parade on-lookers lined Neil Street from University Avenue to Washington Avenue, and floats crept down the street as families snuggled tight in the cold and kids waved glow sticks, sipped hot chocolate and clamored for candy. All was beautiful, but none was more touching than seeing Santa Claus ride down the street. As he did, the crowd moved from the sides of the street into the middle of the road and walked behind Santa’s sleigh. Later, Santa helped light the city’s tree. There was a lot of holiday cheer this year.
