Illini Volleyball’s journey to the Final Four continued this past weekend as fans lined up outside of Huff Hall on Friday morning for the first match of NCAA Sweet Sixteen play, which began at 11 a.m. Facing off against Marquette University, the ladies quickly swept their adversaries in three sets. Wisconsin proved to be stronger competition on Saturday, but Illinois was able to hold the Badgers off, defeating them in four sets. The Fighting Illini will take on Nebraska (1-1 record during 2018 regular season play) on Thursday, Dec. 13, in Minneapolis. The winner of the match will move on to the NCAA Championship match this coming Saturday. Go Illini!
