This south Champaign neighborhood park is a great spot to spend time with the family… if you live in the neighborhood. Otherwise, you'd never likely know it is there. 

Mattis Park is located off Devonshire Dr. in south Champaign, and to be clear, it is a fantastic place to be alive and human, no matter how happy or sad you might be at the moment. 

This perfect neighborhood spot in east Urbana is a great respite for anytime you might want to have an intimate game of tennis, or a fun day on a nice playground with the kids 

This little lake is stocked with fish, and open for canoes and kayaks, and quite frankly, is one of the better places to spend an afternoon with someone you love, or even someone you just like. Look around, and you will also find one of the better art galleries in all of Champaign-Urbana. 

There are so many damn parks in Champaign, that sometimes, we don't even know they existed. This is a positive thing, like waiting until you age longer to listen to an old album you've been saving. Excitement awaits! 

Peeling off a long strip of Duncan Road just off Windsor, this neighborhood park has been serving the people who live in the southwest part of Champaign for over twenty years. 

This is a very nice and well designed space that complements the Unit 4 school on site. But any analysis of this park demands a deeper look into one of our current problems inside of the City of Champaign. 

Outside of a few missing chess boards, this sitting park is a nice little respite from the busy Downtown it sits across from, and pays homage to our local fire crew. 

Is Eisner the best park in all of Champaign? It's in the discussion, that is for sure.
