The Champaign-Urbana Design Organization (CUDO) Pro Show opened its 2015 gallery event on Friday, November 14th at the Indi Go Artist Co-op. The reception was well-attended, eventually seeing over 200 guests arrive to enjoy the design work, greet the designers themselves, and catch up with other local artists both professional and aspiring. Throughout the night the atmosphere was both pleasant and full of energy, with colleagues and friends sharing plenty of stories in between pauses to admire, learn about, and even interact with a wide variety of pieces on display.
Visitors ebbed and flowed in waves, eventually thinning out around 8:30 p.m., which was about 30 minutes before the scheduled end of the reception. Until then, there were more than a few times where the gallery was packed with enough people to make it a little difficult to get around — definitely a good sign for the popularity of the event and for what may come next year!
Take a look below for photos from the opening reception. The CUDO Pro Show 2015 runs from November 13-24 at the Indi Go Artist Co-op Gallery, located at 9 East University Avenue in Champaign. Gallery hours will be Monday-Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 12-4 p.m.
