Last week, I was tipped off that Champaign Police Officer Ed Wachala was going to be shaving his eyebrows off at the Circle K located at John and Mattis. So of course, I went to see what it was all about.
Turns out, Officer Wachala made a deal with Circle K that if they were able to raise $1,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, he would shave his eye brows off. As you can guess, they were able to raise the money. This deal was made in conjunction with the year long fundraiser Champaign Centennial High School students had been conducting for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Later that evening, the school threw a party for some of the kids receiving care at the hospital and announced how much they had raised. Check out Scott’s photo article of the event.
