This was the 3rd annual C-U Oktoberfest held in downtown Champaign. Festivities started at 3 p.m. and went until midnight. Early on there were activities for the kids including bounce houses and root beer floats. Later on in the evening there was beer and food vendors serving up traditional german eats and some rockin’ polka music. Many dressed up in traditional lederhosen attire while others purchased t-shirts, beads, and Oktoberfest hats at the souvenirs stand. There was a substantial crowd throughout the day that seemed to thoroughly enjoy the beer, food, and music. All entry fee proceeds went to benefit the Developmental Services Center.
