The Great Impasta to re-open on Feb. 12

Those in love with Papa Piero may now rejoice!

We’ve just received word that the ever-cherished restaurant, The Great Impasta, will find new digs downtown starting Feb. 12, 2009. For the first time in over 25 years, downtown doesn’t mean Neil and Main. The restaurant has relocated to downtown Urbana, and the new location is a familiar one for people who appreciate fine local cuisine: the space that held Milo’s for a decade before they moved out to southeast Urbana.

Now that the restaurant is attached to Lincoln Square Village, you can expect for them to have a much broader presence at the Market at the Square. Each week, they will open for breakfast on Saturday mornings and will sell their fresh homemade pasta and bread at the market as well.

So, if you’ve been missing their locally famous seafood lasagna or classic sausage-in-crust, fear no more. Starting tomorrow, you can get your fix once again. Welcome back Harold and Nancy!
