Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County is hosting their 3rd annual Raise the Woof! fundraiser this weekend at 302 N Broadway in Urbana. Teams will be in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., constructing and decorating their dog or cat houses. After the build, the houses will be evaluated by a panel of judges and given awards for their work.
After Saturday, the houses will be on display at Restore and Marketplace Mall, where you can vote for your favorite and also bid on the houses for your own pet.
It’s free to view the building event on Saturday, so while you’re Downtown Urbana checking out all the Pride Fest and PYGMALION fun, be sure to swing by and cheer on the builders. Hospice Hearts will be there with adoptable animals and some items for sale.
