The Champaign County Master Naturalists, Master Gardeners, 4-H, University of Illinois Extension, and Urbana Park District are co-hosting an OAK-tober celebration this Saturday, October 16th at Chief Shemauger park in Urbana. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. you and the family can learn about native trees, and complete a “scavenger hunt, bark & leaf rubbings, tree ring discovery, and paint a tree landscape.” There will be yoga and an oak tree song at 10 a.m. and noon.
