The meatloaf dinner at Hamilton Walker’s is all the comfort food you need

Winter is creeping closer and I am finding myself seeking out warm, hearty comfort food. This led me to stray from my go-to steakburger at Hamilton Walker’s last night and order the meatloaf dinner ($26).

The HW meatloaf is a thick patty made with ground steak, and it’s topped with a very flavorful BBQ sauce. It was a great enhancement for the dish.

To be honest, the part of the meal that stole the show for me was the potato cake served on the side. The best way to describe it would be fried mashed potatoes. It was creamy and buttery with a fantastic crust, and excellent when combined with a bit of meatloaf on the fork.

Rounding out the plate was generous helping of garlic green beans. They were cooked just right — not too mushy but not underdone.

All in all a solid meat/potato/vegetable option.
