A couple of legends are heading through Champaign on Tuesday night. Bluegrass/country fans get ready, because Krauss and Nelson are some of the most decorated musicians in the genre(s). Krauss has history here in Central Illinois, she grew up here in C-U.


Corey Flood, Nectar, Spandrels

Philly’s Corey Flood are routing through, and they just released their debut EP back in February. The band has gotten some decent press as of late. They’ll be joined by a couple of local staples, Nectar (just released their new album) and Spandrels (just got off of their East Coast tour).

Here’s a crunchy show for pre-Memorial Day Sunday: sludge metal outfit Orator, who has been at work on a new record, drone band Marathon, and sewingneedle out of Chicago. The IMC’s programming has been great over the last handful of months so this falls in line.
