Habitat for Humanity and ReStore are relocating

Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County and ReStore are getting a new home this fall. They will be moving their offices and retail space from their current location on University Avenue, as well as their warehouse space in Urbana, to 1914 Glenn Park Drive, formerly ValuCheck. The move also means they will no longer be renters but will have a space all their own that can house all of their operations under one roof.

From the press release:

This relocation will provide Habitat of Champaign with a better space to fit their needs, increased efficiency, and ultimately with more resources to fund their programs. They see this move as an investment in the financial stability of the organization and Habitat is excited to finally put into practice the benefits of home ownership that they advocate for.

They are planning to move operations at the end of September, with a grand re-opening of ReStore planned for October 1st. The building has been partially funded by donations from Niemann Foods and Barbara and Terry England. Habitat is hoping to raise another $150,000 through community contributions. If you would like to donate, you can do so at their fundrasing website.
