Due to a lack of continued funding, OSF Healthcare is closing its last two community testing sites, at Parkland College and Danville Area Community College. The DACC site closes today, and the Parkland site on June 30th. The Parkland site was the last of the free community testing sites in C-U, as the others have slowly closed over the past several months.
You will now need to go through a healthcare provider to obtain a PCR test. Those affiliated with the U of I can still utilize Shield testing. It’s currently available at the Illini Union. If you have not yet ordered your free antigen tests from the federal government, you can do that here.
In other COVID news, vaccines are finally available for kids six months to four years old! The C-U Public Health District website has up-to-date information on where those can be administered.
