The 9th Annual C-U Oktoberfest is coming up September 24th, and tickets are now on sale. Oktoberfest is Developmental Services Center’s big fundraiser — proceeds will help further their mission of “supporting people in living a rich and meaningful life”. The event was virtual in 2020, and canceled in 2021, so it’s exciting to have it back in full force this year. Here’s a taste of what it was like in 2019.
Oktoberfest is always a good time, with lots of German music, beer, and food from 3 to 10 p.m. in Downtown Champaign. Of course, you are encouraged to wear your dirndl or lederhosen.
Follow their Facebook event for more details, and head to the website to purchase your tickets. One general admission ticket is $10 for 12 and older, and $5 for kids younger than twelve. There are also a limited number of tables available to reserve for $250. They seat eight people. While you’re at it, you can purchase Oktoberfest merch, raffle tickets, or donate to DSC.
