Each year, CU Schools Foundation accepts grant proposals from teachers in Unit 4 and District 116. This year they received 285 applications, and they were ultimately able to give out awards supporting 153 new projects. In addition, every first year teacher was given $100 to use towards setting up their new classrooms.
CUSF board members acted as a “grant patrol” this week, handing out souvenir checks to teachers across both districts.
You can read about this year’s grant recipients at the CUSF website, and see some of the smiling faces of grant recipients on their Facebook page.
