The Intermezzo Cafe at Krannert Center has been closed since May, and is now set to slowly reopen in the next couple of weeks. New chef Amy Thomas will start small, with a very limited menu at first, but she is planning to ramp up to full operation by January of 2023 with Columbia Street coffee, pastries and possibly breakfast sandwiches in the morning, then soups, salads and daily specials for lunch and show evenings. She’s also hoping to include a couple of entrees.
Thomas formerly worked for Hendrick House, helping run catering for Betsy’s Bistro.
There’s something very lovely and cozy about eating in at the Intermezzo Cafe, and it will be good to have it back in operation.
