By the Way, Meet Vera Stark has been rescheduled from February to June 16-26. Auditions are this weekend (email for previews/scripts). From the website, there are still a good handful of roles available. (JH)

Fire Doll Studio has candle making workshops on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings. Workshops include the candle you make and a beverage. In May, there will be a special Mother’s Day workshop, too. You can view available dates and register online. (JH)

There are only a few weekends left for the indoor Winter Farmers Market, so be sure to check out some of the vendors. I love to get the cronut of the week from Cenral Illinois Bakehouse’s table. If they have maple-bacon cronuts or cinnamon rolls, get one. (AB)

Catch a matinee performance of Madeline Sayet’s reimagined production of The Neverland, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, 2 p.m. $10-$50
This is your last chance to experience Sayet’s revolutionary take on Peter Pan. Presented in workshop format, you’ll get the benefit of seeing the iterative progress the creative and technical staff have made throughout their KCPA run. (DD)

Hear some indie-pop, Rose Bowl Tavern, 8 p.m., $15 adv, $20 door
Lala Lala’s Lillie West brings her indie/pop/rock sound to the Rose Bowl in support of her 2021 album I Want the Door to Open. I can’t say I know her music too well, but the more I’ve been listening to her work, the more it’s growing on me and I find it gets stuck in my head. No doubt a rising star. Joining her is special guest Elton Aura. (SW)

Try a Filipino brunch, A Taste of Both Worlds, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. $10.50
This Broadway Food Hall gem of a restaurant recently started offering brunch dishes. Try the fried eggs with garlic rice or spamsilog, the Asian breakfast with meat fried crispy. A Taste of Both Worlds also serve longsilog, Filipino sausages, and tocilog, a traditional sweet and savory Filipino breakfast. If you can’t make it Sunday, don’t worry: the restaurant serves these brunch dishes any day of the week, anytime the Filipino-Cambodian restaurant is open. Order in person, by phone, or delivery through apps. (AB)
Skate for free, Skateland Savoy, 2 to 5 p.m., free plus cost of skates and extras
Head over to Skateland on Sunday and you won’t have to pay admission! You’ll need to bring money for skates if you don’t have your own, as well as for any other activities and/or food. It’s a great way to tap into some nostalgia and release your inner child. (JM)

For this month’s Third Sunday Music in the Forest, Japan House is featuring the Chip McNeill Jazz Quartet. Let the sounds of jazz music wash over you as you stroll the Japan House grounds, now with blooming Sakura and Magnolia trees.
