Douglas R. Ewart will lead a pre-show lecture/demonstration introducing the handcrafted, sculptural instruments that he uses in music that reflects traditions of the world, along with masks and costumes fit for rituals, and sounding objects such as sonic tops.
7:30 p.m.: Concert featuring Douglas R. Ewart and Stephen Goldstein
Ewart is joined by symbiotic improviser/composer Stephen Goldstein, who provides foundations of rhythm and sonic textures through his use of laptop electronics.
