OK — if Wavves wasn’t enough to satiate your need to check out one of the most buzzed bands of the year, just hold on to your local hats, because Pygmalion is presenting recent Polyvinyl Records signees, Japandroids, as part of their annual festival showcase this year.
And if that weren’t enough, Liz Janes will come out of hibernation to avenge her missed performance from 2007, and Peoria-based gritty popsters Tina Sparkle will be diving in the pool as well.
Plus, a wide array of locals including the newest project from former fireflies members Take Care (though we have no Myspace or picture for them yet), Tall Tale ex-pats Tracey and Tricia, Steve Ucherek’s newest project Village, violin-induced indie-dom in Post-Historic, classic C-U pop punkers jigGsaw, and local songsmith Matt Wagemann.
