Dr. May Berenbaum, well tenured, the author of a ton of books about insects, and the motor behind the Insect Fear Film Festival, has taken home the 2011 Tyler Prize, which recognizes humans who are good at science, and shit like that. Real good, evidently.

I once took a class from her when I was a student a decade ago. She was the best lecturer that I can remember. Hilarious, and totally engaging. She likely deserves this above most folks in the world of people who are good at science and shit.
