Jay Rosenstein’s new documentary “The Lord Is Not on Trial Here Today” will premiere at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, on WILL-TV.
He tells the personal story behind McCollum vs. Board of Education, one of the most important First Amendment cases in U.S. history. Champaign mother Vashti McCollum took her fight against religious education in public schools to the U.S. Supreme Court and won.
A repeat broadcast at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, will be followed by a discussion with Dan McCollum and Jay Rosenstein.
The program will air on PBS stations around the country in March 2011.
