Oh sure, you’ve heard it before.
You get invited to a party simply for having been hanging around some other people that were invited to a party, and got that kinda half-hearted invitation that reeks of obligation.
Us too — happens all the time.
But this time, we’re speaking directly to you. Yes, yes! YOU!
Listen, we know you read the magazine. We know you think it’s awesome and terrible; tremendous and appalling. All of it.
Again, us too.
And to celebrate four years of that notion, we want to buy you a drink, and to meet you, face to face, and to toast another year of good solid reporting, alongside weak coverage, riddled with holes.
This Friday December 2, 2011, please join us at Mike N’ Molly’s at 115 N. Market St. starting at 7 p.m. and come over and say hi, and we’ll buy you a drink or two, and talk a bit about how you really feel about us.
Chances are, Rob McColley will be there, and maybe even Don Gerard. Never know — might be that Laurel Prussing shows up? She’s been invited. So, here’s to hoping?
Any questions at all, about attire, about precedent, about feelings: editors@smilepolitely.com.
We’re here to help, and to not.
