The Illini Union Board and LGBT Resource Center present an evening with Chaz Bono. The event takes place in the I-rooms of the Illini Union at 7:00 p.m.
Bono is the author of four books: Family Outing (with Billie Fitzpatrick), The End of Innocence: A Memoir (with Michele Kort), Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man (with Billie Fitzpatrick), and Transition: Becoming Who I Was Always Meant to Be.
He has also competed on Dancing With the Stars and starred in the documentary Becoming Chaz.
A long-time activist for LGBT causes, Bono has been a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign and a writer for The Advocate. He was also Entertainment Media Director for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).
