For those who remember Big Daddy Sun and The Outer Planets, the man with the big sound, and big heart, Ron Cannon, Big Daddy Sun himself, sadly passed away last Friday, March 15, at Carle Hosptial, after being hospitalized for a week or so.
There is a gathering in his name at Channing-Murray on Monday, March 18 at 3 PM. All are invited to attend, and to bring an instrument. His daughter, Claire, performs on strings with the Duke of Uke.
He was very community minded, and involved with Channing-Murray throughout the years, and was the energy behind the Red Herring Folk Festival Reunion.
