Centennial High School Playmakers are proud to present this year’s spring musical Hairspray on April 11–13 at 7:00 p.m. and April 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Aldridge Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students 12 and under, $6 for students 13 and over, and $8 for adults. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the school at 351-3951. The original Broadway production of Hairspray opened on August 15, 2002 and won eight Tony Awards out of thirteen nominations. It ran for over 2,500 performances. Hairspray has also had national tours, a London West End production, and numerous foreign productions; it was also adapted as a 2007 musical film starring Zac Efron and John Travolta.
