WHAT CHINA ISN’T
A Discussion of Diversity in an Outwardly-perceived Homogenous Country
Parkland College in conjunction with the Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies will be presenting a forum on diversity in China on April 25 at 6:00 p.m. in Room D244, Building D, of Parkland College.
As relations with China increase, the importance of providing our community with an informed view of Chinese society is more applicable than ever before. Join us for a panel discussion with five faculty from Chinese universities as we explore different areas of diversity in China, ranging from the economic to the social and political.
The first portion of the event will feature short presentations by the five presenting faculty who are scholars in the Freeman Fellows Program at the University of Illinois. Moderating the discussion will be Dr. Lawson Lau, a faculty of Parkland and “generalist” in Chinese studies.
Registration for this free event is required in advance. Please register here.
See you there!
