Earlier this week, New York Times Health and Science writer (and my possibly separated at birth brother) Anahad O’Connor published an article about a new website called Coffitivity, supplying free coffee shop sounds straight from the internet. This may seam a little hoaky at first glance, but O’Connor references some intriguing findings discovered in research done by Ravi Mehta, Juliet Zhu, and Amar Cheema here at the University of Illinois on the effects of backgound noise on a person’s productivity and creative thinking.
