On Saturday, September 6th, from 2-5 p.m., artist Alberto Aguilar will be the debut artist in a brand-new art space — a little hut in the backyard of Urbana resident Albert Stabler. Stabler is calling the artspace the Outhouse. Aguilar will be creating a site-specific installation: a collage he created using an image of the backyard space.
According to the press release: “Using common materials, Alberto Aguilar will confuse the scale of the inside and outside of a small house confounding its neighbors and guests.”
The opening will take place at 709 E. Sunnycrest Drive, Urbana, otherwise known as the Stabler backyard. The show continues through October 5. Visit the Facebook event page here.
