William Fleming, the owner of Crossroads Corner Consignment, had a first at his business today. A woman walked in carrying a box. She set it down on the counter and said, “I can’t take care of it. You take her.” Inside the box, William found a puppy. He said there was no discussion — but that the woman walked in, set the box down, said what she said, and walked out.
Fleming, being an animal lover, brought the puppy some food and water and let her stay in the shop for today. He said she ate all of her food and slept peacefully in the box most of the day. He plans to take her to his vet tomorrow for a check up and vaccines.
