The City of Champaign, with Clark Dietz invites the public to an Open House on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at Venue 51 located at 51 East Green Street. The Open House will begin with a brief overview presentation of the project followed by time for questions and review of exhibits.
The City of Champaign is planning a complete reconstruction of Green Street from Fourth Street to Neil Street in 2016. This project is being designed by a team led by Clark Dietz. The project features wider sidewalks, improved traffic design, safer pedestrian crossings, new street trees, improved lighting, improvements to the railroad viaduct and an overall improved aesthetic.
The project is being funded through a combination of City Food and Beverage funds and a federal TIGER grant. The overall project cost is expected to be $8 million.
