Champaign-Urbana music fans might know Kamila Glowacki as 1/3 of local punk band Kowabunga! Kid, or mind behind Nectar, but might know know that she’s also an accomplished artist and is having her work exhibited at the Women’s Resource Center starting next Wednesday with an opening reception. Here are the details, according to the Facebook event page:
ABOUT THE SHOW
Saccharine, an exhibition featuring new work from Kamila Glowacki, attempts to balance the sour and repulsive amongst a vibrant high-fructose world. Bright colors and attractive sweets welcome viewers only to expose insects and rotten bruises. The work simultaneously repels and attracts, leaving viewers to question their tastes.
