Hey, you there. Yeah. You. The one shivering from the weird wintry temperature fluctuation. I know, I wish I were in a warmer climate today, too. But we’re in Illinois and this kinda comes with the territory. You wanna talk about this over lunch? Good.
I realize the Midwestern winter leads us to sit on our butts and eat whatever crap is in the cupboard or hit up the dreaded takeout menu featuring CARBS and CARBS. But listen, intelligent adult from Champaign-Urbana, today we’re going to Joe’s for lunch. Seriously.
We’re going to Joe’s and we’re going to get a BIG SALAD. In fact, we’re going to get the best salad in C-U. Yes, the best salad in C-U is at Joe’s. Listen to me.
This Cobb salad (which may or may not have origins in Chicago), is enormous. It is gigantic. It will fill you. It will fill you with fresh greens that taste of a warmer season. It has vibrant avocado that was farmed from a much warmer environment than we’re currently dealing with. This salad has BACON (the greatest of all cured meats), and glorious, glorious hard boiled eggs. This salad, this BIG, beautiful salad that reminds you of crunching on leafy vegetables during a warmer day than this one, is only $5 on Wednesdays. And wouldn’t you know it, today is Wednesday.
Let’s talk about this weather, intelligent adult from Champaign-Urbana, over $5 salads at Joe’s today.
