The North End Breakfast Club announced their political endorsements for 2015 today. Their endorsements are for both Urbana and Champaign school boards and park districts and for the Champaign City Council. They also endorse the Champaign School Board Referendum.

The North End Breakfast Club has been working consistently over the past 5 years to increase voter turnout and voter education, particularly in the African-American community. Therefore we endorse the following candidates, as they have demonstrated their commitment to the issues that are impacting our community the most: job creation, equal access to education, social justice and economic equality in Champaign and Urbana. Once elected or re-elected, these candidates bring the voices of our diverse community to the table and will work for a better Community for everyone.
The North End Breakfast Club is endorsing the following candidates for the April 7, 2015 Elections:
Urbana School Board: Benita Rollins Gay
Urbana Park District: LaShaunda R. Cunningham
Champaign School Board: Jamar Brown, Kerris Lee, Alissia Young and Chris Kloeppel (sic)
Champaign Park District: Brent West
Champaign City Council: Will Kyles and Matt Gladney
Champaign Mayoral Race: NO ENDORSEMENT
Parkland Trustee: NO ENDORSEMENT
NEBC Supports the Champaign School Board Referendum
