We recently just posted a locally produced mini-documentary about street art. That medium for showcasing artists’ skills is one that is farther reaching than a gallery, mostly because it’s, well, on the street. Passers-by become the critics and those that celebrate certain pieces. It’s a really cool phenomenon and it’s also neat that the City of Urbana is helping to promote this type of art with their Murals on Glass initiative. Murals on Glass presents the works of local artists as vinyl decals on the windows of businesses in Downtown Urbana.
