Each year, the Urbana Business Association presents to our community the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival — a two-day celebration of eclectic foods, arts and crafts, live music and of course, delicious, locally grown sweet corn.
It all began in 1975, when Busey Bank started the festival as a small way to say thanks to their customers. Flash forward 40 years — to 2015 — and the UBA has taken the reins, adding several stages, a variety of kids activities, a vintage car show and so much more over the past few years.
And since the festival is celebrating 40 years, the UBA is doing it up big this year. How big? Big enough to hire seasonal staff!
