I know what you’re thinking: “wow, I really wish I could go to the DMV today, but it’s been closed in Champaign for 9 months.”
Yes, friends, in the past, you would have been out of luck due to “air quality concerns”, but today (and what a glorious day it is), the Secretary of State’s office has just opened his office (which primarly serves as the Illinois Department of Motor Vehicles) up for all of the picture-taking and slow-moving lines you and I both dream of.
In all seriousness, this is a pretty big deal for Champaign’s office, which has been closed for the past nine months, forcing citizens to travel to either Monticello or Rantoul to wait in another obscenely long line.
So, cheers, I guess?
