Urbana, IL — The Ed Napleton Automotive Group, based out of Westmont, Illinois has recently acquired the O’Brien Auto Park located in Urbana, Illinois. The facility currently houses seven automotive franchises in 45 Central Illinois locations. Ed Napleton Auto Group currently includes 35 franchises in 25 different locations in five states: Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Pennsyvania, and Missouri.
Jim Turner, of Champaign, will continue as Executive Manager for the new Napleton’s Auto Park of Urbana. “I am excited to be a part of the Napleton Group and will continue to lead this great team of employees that have made the transition alongside me. Our goal has always been to serve our customers well and be a dealership of choice for Central Illinois and that will not change,” Turner said.
Edward F. “Ed” Napleton is a third-generation auto dealer. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois. Today, four of Ed’s five children have proudly joined him in purusing the family business and have a hand in the company’s day-to-day operations. The Ed Napleton Automotive Group employes over 1500 employees and proudly contributes to the communities they serve.
